Charter schools are an area of contention for many people.  But before we jump to conclusions about whether they're "good" or "bad," we should probably understand what they are, how they work, and how they're different from public schools.  If we were really careful scientists, we'd also want to look at evidence of performance.  Finally, if we were ethicists, we'd also want to look into the morality of them.
